This is a story of two families, with their own sense of honour and connection with each other. The movie release date was long awaited after the directors announced it will release in two parts - Gangs Of Wasseypur I & II - on 20th July 2012 across theatres in India. The first part was released on 20 July 2012 all over India. However, due to its limited release, the movie was not able to do well at box office. Anurag Kashyap has announced that he is ready to make a sequel to the film if the script is good.
